Why Exercise Oncology Matters
- Iowa has one of the highest cancer incidence rates; about 5% of Iowans are survivors, but few receive exercise support
- Strong evidence links structured exercise to reduced recurrence, improved mental/physical health, and improved survivorship outcomes
Mission Statement
To provide evidence-based, individualized exercise therapy to cancer survivors through both in‑person and telehealth services, while advancing research and training future health professionals.
